David Oyedepo Jnr 1kings 18:21-24, 36-39 James 5:16-18 Jeremiah 33:3 Prayer is not just a religious ritual. 1 john 5:14 James 4:2-3 We serve a prayer answering and covenant keeping God. Jeremiah 33:20-21 God's covenant is as sure as the day and night. THE COVENANT KEYS TO ANSWERED PRAYERS #1. Repent and pray for forgiveness of sin in other to clear the air for answers to prayers. Isaiah 59:1-2 John 9:31, psalm 66:18-19 Sin remains a barrier between a man and answers to prayers. 1 John 1:8-9 God will not answer what he has nor heard. 2 Corinthians 7:1 Do not pretend with sin. #2. Engage the prayer of faith. James 1:6-7 Mark 11:24 What you do not believe cannot be received in prayers. Matthew 21:22 Faith guarantees answers in prayers. Hebrews 10:19-23 Draw new with full assurance of faith. #3. Pray with faith in the name of Jesus. John 14:13-14 When you engage the name of Jesus, he simply takes ownership of that subject if prayers. Acts 3:16 Jesus' name is a covenant signature that guarantees answers in prayer. It therefore takes faith investment in the name of Jesus to secure answers in prayers. #4. Pray according to the will of God in his word. 1 John 5:15 Isaiah 41:21 Isaiah 43:26 Prayer can be likened to pleading a case with the right words, before God. Isaiah 38:1-5, 10 Whatever is due to you can only be given to you, when you know your rights in the covenant. Exodus 23:23-26 Malachi 3:11 Stand before God on the basis of your rights in the word. You can stand before God and make your case. When you present his word, he confirms it. #5. Pray earnestly and heartily. Engage your heart on the altar of prayer. 1 Samuels 1:15 Jeremiah 17:10 2 chronicles 16:9 Your heart connection is needed in prayers. When your heart is not in your prayers, you lack answers. Your prayers must be heart felt to secure answers in prayers. Jeremiah 29: 11-13 Prayers must go beyond your mouth to your heart. It is what your heart is saying that God listens to. #6. Be specific in your demands. James 4:2 Mark 10:46-52 Don't always be generic, be specific in your demand. Until prayer is specific, demand cannot be recognized. God will not answer unasked questions. #7. Pray with authority against all satanic strong holds out to resist answers to prayers. 1 Corinthians 16:9 Daniel 10:12 Luke 10:19 James 4:7 Matt 11:12 You can forcefully take your portion. Matt 8:16 open your mouth wide and make declarations. #8. Pray with expectation. Proverbs 23:18 #9. Pray with Thanksgiving Phil 4:6 HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY PRAYER IS ANSWERED. When your faith says so. Gal 3:14 the promise is received with faith. #2. When the peace of God rules your heart and mind Phil 4:7 #3. When you have the witness of the spirit that the matter is settled. Romans 8:16 #4. When your spirit celebrates God before the arrival of the answer physically. 1 Peter 1:8 When joy breaks forth in your heart concerning the prayer subject. Faith is a must for any prayer to be answered. Hebrews 11:6 James 1:7 Romans 14:23 Faith destroys doubt and in turn commits Gods integrity to deliver. Romans 4:18-21 Luke 1:45 When faith comes on the scene, doubts die. Faith procures rest and rest brings about divine intervention Exodus 14:14 Gods intervention is determined by our rest. When you are at rest, that is when God goes to work. 2 chronicles 20:17 Psalm 46:10 Remain sensitive in the spirit to recognize when peter is knocking on the door.
