Be HONEST and ETHICAL

As you go about your assignments today and always pls be guided by this . Be HONEST  and ETHICAL. May you have a Thriving and profitable day .

Shiv Khera, a renowned author and management trainer writes about his experience in Singapore

"Six years ago in Singapore I gave a taxi driver a business card to take me to a particular address.

At the last point he circled round the building. His meter read 11$, but he took only 10.

I said Henry, your meter reads 11$ how come you are taking only 10.

He said Sir, I am a taxi driver, I am supposed to be bringing you straight to the destination. Since I did not know the last spot, I had to circle around the building. Had I brought you straight here, the meter would have read 10$.

Why should you be paying for my ignorance ?

*He said Sir, legally, I can claim 11$ but Honestly and ethically I am entitled to only 10$.

He further added that Singapore is a tourist destination and many people come here for three or four days. After clearing the immigrations and customs, the first experience is always with the taxi driver and if that is not good, the balance three to four days are not pleasant either.

He said Sir I am not a taxi driver, I am the Ambassador of Singapore without a diplomatic passport.

In my opinion he probably did not go to school beyond the 8th grade, but to me he was a professional. To me his behavior reflected pride in performance and character.

That day I learnt that one needs more than professional qualification to be a professional.

In one line be a "Professional with a human touch and Values " that makes all the more difference.

Knowledge, skill, money, education, all comes later. First comes Human Values, Honesty and Integrity.

Professionalism:
It’s NOT the job you DO,
It’s HOW you DO the job.”...

Michelle Obama: 'When they go low, we go high

First Lady Michelle Obama gave an emotional speech at the Democratic national convention Monday night, arguing for the importance of black and female role models in the White House. “That is the story of this country, the story that has brought me to this stage tonight, the story of generations of people who felt the lash of bondage, the shame of servitude, the sting of segregation, but who kept on striving and hoping and doing what needed to be done so that today I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves,” she said. “And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent, black young women playing with their dogs on the White House lawn. And because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States.” Read Obama’s remarks as delivered below: (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) Thank you all. Thank you so much. You know, it’s hard to believe that it has been eight years since I first came to this convention to talk with you about why I thought my husband should be president. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) Remember how I told you about his character and convictions, his decency and his grace, the traits that we’ve seen every day that he’s served our country in the White House? (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) I also told you about our daughters, how they are the heart of our hearts, the center of our world. And during our time in the White House, we’ve had the joy of watching them grow from bubbly little girls into poised young women, a journey that started soon after we arrived in Washington. OBAMA: When they set off for their first day at their new school, I will never forget that winter morning as I watched our girls, just 7 and 10 years old, pile into those black SUVs with all those big men with guns. (LAUGHTER) And I saw their little faces pressed up against the window, and the only thing I could think was, what have we done? (LAUGHTER) See, because at that moment I realized that our time in the White House would form the foundation for who they would become and how well we managed this experience could truly make or break them. That is what Barack and I think about every day as we try to guide and protect our girls through the challenges of this unusual life in the spotlight, how we urge them to ignore those who question their father’s citizenship or faith. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) How we insist that the hateful language they hear from public figures on TV does not represent the true spirit of this country. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) How we explain that when someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don’t stoop to their level. No, our motto is, when they go low, we go high. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) With every word we utter, with every action we take, we know our kids are watching us. We as parents are their most important role models. And let me tell you, Barack and I take that same approach to our jobs as president and first lady because we know that our words and actions matter, not just to our girls, but the children across this country, kids who tell us I saw you on TV, I wrote a report on you for school. Kids like the little black boy who looked up at my husband, his eyes wide with hope and he wondered, is my hair like yours? And make no mistake about it, this November when we go to the polls that is what we’re deciding, not Democrat or Republican, not left or right. No, in this election and every election is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) And I am here tonight because in this election there is only one person who I trust with that responsibility, only one person who I believe is truly qualified to be president of the United States, and that is our friend Hillary Clinton. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) That’s right. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) See, I trust Hillary to lead this country because I’ve seen her lifelong devotion to our nation’s children, not just her own daughter, who she has raised to perfection… (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) …but every child who needs a champion, kids who take the long way to school to avoid the gangs, kids who wonder how they’ll ever afford college, kids whose parents don’t speak a word of English, but dream of a better life, kids who look to us to determine who and what they can be. You see, Hillary has spent decades doing the relentless, thankless work to actually make a difference in their lives… (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) …advocating for kids with disabilities as a young lawyer, fighting for children’s health care as first lady, and for quality child care in the Senate. And when she didn’t win the nomination eight years ago, she didn’t get angry or disillusioned. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) Hillary did not pack up and go home, because as a true public servant Hillary knows that this is so much bigger than her own desires and disappointments. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) So she proudly stepped up to serve our country once again as secretary of state, traveling the globe to keep our kids safe. And look, there were plenty of moments when Hillary could have decided that this work was too hard, that the price of public service was too high, that she was tired of being picked apart for how she looks or how she talks or even how she laughs. But here’s the thing. What I admire most about Hillary is that she never buckles under pressure. She never takes the easy way out. And Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) And when I think about the kind of president that I want for my girls and all our children, that’s what I want. OBAMA: I want someone with the proven strength to persevere, someone who knows this job and takes it seriously, someone who understands that the issues a president faces are not black and white and cannot be boiled down to 140 characters. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) Because when you have the nuclear codes at your fingertips and the military in your command, you can’t make snap decisions. You can’t have a thin skin or a tendency to lash out. You need to be steady and measured and well-informed. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) I want a president with a record of public service, someone whose life’s work shows our children that we don’t chase form and fortune for ourselves, we fight to give everyone a chance to succeed. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) And we give back even when we’re struggling ourselves because we know that there is always someone worse off. And there but for the grace of God go I. I want a president who will teach our children that everyone in this country matters, a president who truly believes in the vision that our Founders put forth all those years ago that we are all created equal, each a beloved part of the great American story. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) And when crisis hits, we don’t turn against each other. No, we listen to each other, we lean on each other, because we are always stronger together. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) And I am here tonight because I know that that is the kind of president that Hillary Clinton will be. And that’s why in this election I’m with her. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) You see, Hillary understands that the president is about one thing and one thing only, it’s about leaving something better for our kids. That’s how we’ve always moved this country forward, by all of us coming together on behalf of our children, folks who volunteer to coach that team, to teach that Sunday school class, because they know it takes a village. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) Heroes of every color and creed who wear the uniform and risk their lives to keep passing down those blessings of liberty, police officers and the protesters in Dallas who all desperately want to keep our children safe. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) People who lined up in Orlando to donate blood because it could have been their son, their daughter in that club. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) Leaders like Tim Kaine… (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) …who show our kids what decency and devotion look like. Leaders like Hillary Clinton who has the guts and the grace to keep coming back and putting those cracks in that highest and hardest glass ceiling until she finally breaks through, lifting all of us along with her. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) That is the story of this country, the story that has brought me to this stage tonight, the story of generations of people who felt the lash of bondage, the shame of servitude, the sting of segregation, but who kept on striving and hoping and doing what needed to be done so that today I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent, black young women playing with their dogs on the White House lawn. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) And because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) So, look, so don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that somehow we need to make it great again. Because this right now is the greatest country on earth! (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) And as my daughters prepare to set out into the world, I want a leader who is worthy of that truth, a leader who is worthy of my girls’ promise and all our kids’ promise, a leader who will be guided every day by the love and hope and impossibly big dreams that we all have for our children. So in this election, we cannot sit back and hope that everything works out for the best. We cannot afford to be tired or frustrated or cynical. No, hear me. Between now and November, we need to do what we did eight years ago and four years ago. (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) We need to knock on every door, we need to get out every vote, we need to pour every last ounce of our passion and our strength and our love for this country into electing Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America! (CHEERS, APPLAUSE) So let’s get to work. Thank you all and God bless

GOLDEN THOUGHTS AND SAYINGS OF DR MYLES MUNROE

```The late Dr Myles Monroe was a man of wisdom, I loved him and now I
He was once quoted as saying:
I was born poor, sleeping on the floor with cockroaches and rats. Today, I own my own jet. Everything I have is paid for. I am debt free; I open new businesses every year and mentor many people,”
ON UNEMPLOYMENT
miss him so much.
Myles Munroe strongly discouraged the reliance on Government for jobs, describing it as ‘lazy thinking.’“There is no such thing as unemployment in the world. What you call unemployment is what I call lazy thinking,” he says.“The work of government is not to create jobs, but to create an environment for people to develop their own work,” he asserts.
ON GIFTS/TALENTS:
Munroe discourages employed professionals against relying solely on their jobs for income, urging them to instead create wealth using their unique talents. He also challenges aspiring entrepreneurs to develop and refine their expertise in a talent, idea, service or body of
knowledge.When you refine your gift in an area, you become valuable; people seek you out and pay you,
ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP:
Munroe said setting principles is the first step towards achieving success for any budding entrepreneur. “I will never be poor again because I have learnt the principles of business,” he asserts.“I can say without a doubt that what I have accomplished is based on principles passed on to me by my parents. You should never build your life on facts or techniques because these often become obsolete,” he cautions.“For you to survive today, you must accept the reality of partnerships. If someone emerges as my competition today, I am not supposed to kill them, but marry them,” he states.“Do not curse a crisis; use it. Every business is a solution to a crisis. Develop the capacity to solve a problem and you will become a successful entrepreneur.”
HIS 10 WORDS OF WISDOM TO AFRICA:
1. Understand crisis and use it to solve a problem. Every business is a response to a problem.
2. Initiate something; do not wait for things to be done.
3. Identify and refine your talent, skill, idea, service or knowledge to create  .
4. Whatever makes you angry, you must solve it.
5. Poverty is not the lack of money, but the lack of ideas.
6. God does not give cash, but ideas on how to create wealth.
7. Be in control of your mind, thoughts, perception and mentality to respond to change.
8. Be keen and take advantage of changes brought about by technology and globalization.
9. Leave your legacy, but in the people you train, not in products or buildings.
10. Every human being was born with a treasure. Your greatest secret to success lies in discovering your treasure.
Leadership Behaviour
Training is a misnomer when applied to leadership. Any leadership development programme has to include at least a passing reference to the following
Introduction to the concept of leadership behaviours
Discussion and debate about leadership
A widening of the definition beyond traditional leadership stereotypes
Personal understanding of individual leadership qualities and strengths
The difference between leadership and management
A look at how people perceive, their perception is their reality
Assumptions and their effect on how people see the world
What are your terms of reference and seeing the bigger picture
Personal patterns and beliefs
A look at the elements that have influenced and shaped the participants
Establishing ownership of individual's leadership behaviours
A programme needs to be designed around the development of the individuals involved rather than towards competencies identified as required by the organisation.
leadership development series
Ever since we started Impact Makers which is now CCYI Global, a couple of years back, we have struggled with the whole notion of leadership development or leadership training. Indeed, we have resisted writing about it in much detail because the subject is so subjective.
  • Are leaders born or made?
  • Can you use management leadership training to give leadership skills to someone who isn't leadership material?
  • How is it done?
Given that we're being asked to create a lot more leadership programmes of late, we decided we'd take a hard look at just what makes a good leader. Not just a good leader, but a creative leader.
Even of you don't think of yourself as a leader, you will have areas in your life where other people look to you for leadership.
In a few days we shall be exploring some essentials qualities and skills you need to be a good and creative leader in whatever leadership arena you're in.
Seven D’s to qualitative Career Choice 2
5. Distinguish yourself in your chosen career.
Now that you know what makes you original and as well know your assignment, go ahead and distinguish yourself.
·         Do not be afraid of being different.
       Jeremiah 1:17
·         Don’t be afraid to stand alone.
·         Don’t be afraid of people’s faces.
·         Do not be afraid if those you trusted leave you.
·         Do not be afraid if no one wants to support your dreams.
·         Do not be afraid of challenging the status quo.
Seek constantly to improve yourself and raise your standards.
6.
Do not allow small minds distract you.
Too many people fail in their careers principally due to the quality of their association.
Your association determine your acceleration.
Associating with small minds can limit the rate at which you move at accomplishing your goals and aspirations.
The inherent fear and inaction in the small minds that surround you create friction in the wheel of your intended progress.
7.
Devote your time to kingdom and people service.
Any career that would not allow you to devote time to kingdom service and promotion will surely lead you astray. Your career must be aimed at promoting the kingdom and helping people.
Devotion is the key to promotion and distinction. Matthew 6:33
Seven D’s to qualitative Career Choice
1
. Dedicate your life to God.
Jeremiah 1:5 & 29:11 reveals a significant truth. Only God knows your destiny. If you must therefore make a good career choice, it must begin with God.
Accepting Christ and getting baptized in the Holy Spirit activates your sub conscious mind and therefore makes your intellect, emotion and conscious mind fruitful.
2
. Discover the truth about you from God’s word.
Psalm 139:13-15 reveals the truth about you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. But you need a personal discovery of the truth for it to become a reality.
Your identity is in the discovery of the truth. Without a discovery of your true identity, your choice of career might lead you into living out another man’s destiny.
3.
Discover what makes you original.
Your career is hidden in something you do that makes you original in God. Is it speaking, singing, writing, meeting people, helping people, solving problems etc.
4.
Discover your assignment.
Your relevance is a product of the discovery of your assignment. Your assignment is what you were assigned by God to accomplish on the earth. It is something God has finished in heaven, but sent you to earth to start.
·         What you hate is sign post to your assignment.
·         What you love is also a sign post to your assignment.
·         What makes you sad, angry, cry, are all sign post to your assignment.
SOUL DUNAMIS 2
The Conscious Mind
This is the processing room of the mind. This is what enables men to interact with the physical environment. It helps us to appreciate beauty, nature, space etc.
It feeds on information acquired through sight, touch, smell, sound, and taste.
It is a slave to observation, experimentation, inspection, supervision, interaction etc.
When developed, it is the mother science and civilization.
The Emotions
The emotion is another aspect of the soul that plays a vital role is defining our career choices.
The emotion houses our habits, attitudes, behavioral patterns and the way we perceive and react to things.
Emotions are strong inner feelings that define our mood and as result our inner strength or courage.
There is need for emotional intelligence if the right career choices must be made early in life.
What is it that you have discovered from God’s word and you feel good at pursuing irrespective of what opposing forces think of you?
The career worth pursuing is the one that you enjoy doing. Joy and inner peace are pointers to emotional stability as it relates to career path.
The Intellect
This is an act of reasoning things out. It is the part of man that defines his capacity to develop new ideas, new vision, new ambition, better insights etc.
It grows with quality education. The quality of career chosen can be strengthened with qualitative intellectual investment.
Intellect is not just about going to school but developing the ability to source and process information. Intellectual sagacity grows with research.
Before deciding which career or profession to settle for, you need to embark on a research.  Research enables you to know what the current trend is in the occupation you might be desiring.
Soul Dunamis
In the same way man is a three in one being, so is the soul of man. The soul has three compartments namely the mind, intellect and emotions.
In your quest to discover your career early in life, you need to understand the workings of the various compartments of the soul.
The Mind
The mind is the factory that produces pictures that influences the vision of man. What you see is what you believe.
The mind is the eyes of your spirit man.
The mind has two primary functions: It recalls and stores (memory) and it pre plays (Imagination).
The mind can replay or recall the past and as well can pre play the future. This is the most powerful part of the soul.
The human mind is divided into two parts, the sub conscious and the conscious.
The Sub Conscious Mind
The sub conscious is the mind of the spirit. When you receive the Holy Ghost baptism, the Holy Spirit becomes residence in your sub conscious. In a bid to express itself since it is a talking spirit, you mutter words directly from the sub conscious without the due process of the conscious mind. This is speaking in tongues.
The same way your conscious mind is edified by the words you speak, the sub conscious is built up by the words spoken by the Holy Spirit. Jude 20.
The stronger the sub conscious, the more fruitful the conscious mind.
Whatever comes out of the sub conscious is what you have been ordained by God to pursue in life.
·         Your assignment is hidden in your sub conscious mind.
·         Your place in destiny is hidden in your sub conscious mind.
·         Your sub conscious mind is the deep wherein your unlimited breakthroughs are hidden.
Dynamics of Vision and Ambition
To discover a worthy vision and walk with a healthy ambition, there is need to understand your make up in God.
God made man in His own image (a spirit) and cloth him with dust (body) and the combination resulted in a Soul.
The spirit belongs to God and can only be sustained by the things of God, which is his word, prayer, fasting, meditation, service etc.
The body also belongs to God but was created from the dust and therefore has its sustenance in the earth. It can be sustained by trees, animals, iron ore, crude, gas, solar energy and everything visible today to man on the earth.
The body is made up of different members, with which it accesses its immediate environment. These members include the eyes, nose, mouth, hands, feet, legs etc.
The soul on the other hand is completely different. It is a part of man that resulted from the interaction between the spirit and the body.
God is not absolutely in control of the soul, in fact after the fall of man, God lost control of it. “Both God and the devil now seek dominance of the soul.”
CAREER AND DESTINY DISCOVERY. BY DANIEL OLUKAYODE JACOBS
CAREER AND DESTINY DISCOVERY.
BY DANIEL OLUKAYODE JACOBS
President Center for Creative Youth Inspirational Global Ministries
OBJECTIVES
1. To help young people discover their destiny early in life.
2. To expose young people to a life of personal responsibility.
3. To help them cultivate a life of reading, observations, reasoning and challenging their mind for great exploit in life.
INTRODUCTION
A Career can be defined according to the concise oxford dictionary of English as one’s advancement through life, especially in a profession. It is the progress through history of a group or institution. It is a profession or occupation.
A career is an ambition driven by vision. The quality of vision is what defines the quality of the ambition.
As young people just starting out in life, there is need to have a good understanding of vision and ambition.
One works by faith, while the other is made real by works.
What is Vision?
·         Vision is the unfolding of God’s divine plan for man.
·         Vision reveals God’s master plan for Man. Jeremiah 1:5, 29:11
·         Vision is seeing the end at the beginning. Isaiah 46:10
·         Vision is your ability to discover what God has finished but intends for you to start.
·         Vision is what you see from God’s word that empowers your ambition.
What is Ambition?
Ambition is the spur that makes man struggle with destiny: it is heaven’s own incentive to make purpose great, and achievements greater.
The instinctive impulse to keep pushing on and up is the most curious and the most interesting thing in human life.
Without this desire to get on and up, this God – urge, everything, even the universe itself would collapse. Inertia would bring everything to a standstill.
Ambition is what adds action to vision to bring about a manifestation.  James 2:20, 26
Vision without a corresponding action (ambition) is dead. Philippians 3:13-15
The cravings for something higher and better is the best possible antidote or remedy for bad habits which one wishes to get rid of.
Vision and ambition knocks early.
Most young people seem to think that vision and ambition is a quality that is born in one and which cannot be materially changed, but the greatest vision and ambition may be very materially injured in many different ways.
The habit of
procrastination, of postponing, the habit of picking out the easier task and putting off the difficulty ones, for example, will very easily impair the vision and ambition.
Vision and ambition often begins very early to knock for recognition.
The Personality behind Vision and ambition.
Recognition of the voice of the Holy Spirit early in life inspires vision and motivates us to act accordingly.
The Holy Spirit is the driver of every worthy vision.
Vision without the Holy Spirit will always lead to confusion.
Be careful how you discourage or refuse to heed that inner voice which commands you to go forward, for if you do, it will become less and less insistent until finally it will cease to prod you, and when ambition is dead deterioration has set it.
That inner call to go forward, to push on to a higher good, is god’s voice: heed it. It is your best friend and will lead you into light and joy.
YOUR IMAGINATION IS YOUR TRUE IMAGE IN ACTION
The best way to without fail predict the future is to have one that you are thinking of creating.
You can only seize the future you are willing to create.
The future belongs to those who have it already set in their mind.
When you can think it, you can seize it.
If it can size your mind, it can feature in your life.
If you can think it long enough you can become it.
If you can talk it long enough, it would eventually come to you.
Satan may try to block the way against your prayers, but nothing can stop the way against your imaginations.
You are either a king or slave in your imagination.
How you see yourself is how people would see you.
